4607 – SAS Office Analytics Consultant
March 28, 2024 12:24 amOur Portland, OR based client is in need of a contractor that is familiar with SAS Office Analytics. The Director that oversees the data analysis and reporting group for our client recently upgraded their reporting solution, and he’s in urgent need to staff a role which would migrate their existing code and reports to the new server, setup new reporting templates, and perform requirements gathering of key performance indicators (KPIs). They are currently using SAS (version 9.4) and Visual Analytics (version 7.52). They are NOT running Viya. Just Office and Visual Analytics.
In a perfect world, they would love someone who can be onsite 5 days per week in their Downtown Portland office, but they are open to someone who can work a hybrid schedule and split time in the office and working remotely.

Requirements – KPIs and Reporting:
Minimum requirements
– 1+ year experience writing and reviewing SAS code
-1+ year experience writing and reviewing SQL code
Preferred requirements
– Key performance indicator (KPI) development experience
– Version control and code review experience
– Requirements gathering experience
Scope 1 – KPIs and Reporting
KPI review and documentation
– review disparate KPI SAS scripts
– process flow diagrams (show report inputs and outputs; interrelationships between reports/KPIs)
– definitions and terminology
– conceptual mathematical formulas
– exceptions and/or edge cases
– related standard operating procedures and/or guiding documents
– Conduct stakeholder interviews to discuss KPI use cases and improvements.
KPI improvement
– improve and/or consolidate existing KPI SAS scripts
– submit changes using code review process
– propose intermediate data tables where applicable
Scope 2 – SAS Training and Tools
SAS Training
– train analysts in SAS Visual Analytics Designer
– develop templates for current and future reports (Fonts, logos, colors; Space management, formatting visuals; Examples of multiple chart types, including dual-axis, mixed line/bar graphs, etc.)
