We are currently seeking an individual to work in our Lake Oswego office, performing AutoCAD for fire alarm system design. Fire alarm or security system knowledge is extremely helpful. This is a varied position helping support projects, requiring the ability to read and modify blueprints, perform simple calculations, interact with sales personnel and technicians, and assist co-workers with challenging design issues as you apply your increasing knowledge of life safety systems. There will be some opportunities to interact with fire marshals and Point Monitor’s loyal client base.
SCHEDULE: M-F Daytime hours – 40 hours a week (full time).

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, college a plus.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with construction teams, end-user clients, coworkers and sometimes government agencies. Will create scaled two-dimension low voltage systems installation plans (primarily fire alarms) in AutoCAD LT.
COMPUTER SKILLS: AutoCAD design, Microsoft Office
EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year experience in a professional office environment, frequent use of computers, and experience working in a team setting with deadlines. Experience reading and understanding construction documents is a plus. Previous experience designing, selling, installing, or servicing low voltage protective signaling systems could lead to additional opportunities within the company.
