Hey everyone, I’m Scott Thompson, the founder and President of Lexicon Solutions. Those titles may sound fancy, but don’t let them fool you. Even after 20 years in the industry, I still enjoy Recruiting and Account Management duties along with all of the other day to day adventures of running a small business. I started Lexicon Solutions in 2004 based on the principle of building a business that was extremely customer focused while ensuring that we always do right by our candidates.
I moved to Portland after graduating from the University of Washington in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Communications with a focus on New Media….back when using the Internet for business was a new thing. I married my wonderful wife Shannon in 2007 and together we have two incredibly cool children. I am an avid fan of all things University of Washington and I also have a strong passion for craft beer (which is part of why I love Portland so much)! The constantly-evolving beer scene in this city means we are blessed with amazing variety, but if I had to choose one single hop variety as my favorite, it would be Nelson Sauvin hops. Partly because they are from New Zealand and I like the southern hemisphere hop varieties, but more importantly because I love the smooth bittering finish that they give while offering flavors of rich fruit, gooseberry, and white wine. Writing this bio has really made me want to grab an IPA from Modern Times or Great Notion, so…..cheers, all!
